Default '96 Cargo Light

In my '96 Ram the cargo light doesn't work. The dome light comes on with the switch.

The bulbs have all been changed, just not getting power to the bulb; I have metered it.

Is there a fuse just for the cargo light?

You talking about the light on the rear of the cab? If so, that works with the headlight switch.

Make sure you twist it all the way, and check for a short in the wiring because it uses the IOD fuse IIRC and the dome light would also not come on.

Its 2 clicks for the cargo light

Yea I'm clicking the switch over far enough, just not getting power to the light.

Is the cargo light the only thing on the IOD fuse?

Sorry meant to put dome light would not come on, the radio and a couple other things use the IOD fuse, so I would have to say you either have a short or some junk on the connecters for the bulb, might just need to take off cover and clean up connections and maybe a wiggle of wires

Or the headlight switch is bad.
