Default Sikkens Paint

Finally getting around to getting my truck repainted and was talking to neighbor and a kid thats there all the time said he would paint my truck for 1200 including the little amount of bodywork, a quick talk and he said it would be base coat, clear coat and that he uses Sikkens paint.

Well I dont paint or know anything about it other than the fact that a friends hotrod was painted with Sikkens and it looks sweet.

Just looking to see if anybody has used it or knows about and what their opinions on it are. Not worried about quality of painter as he paints for a local dealership

Well, the company has been in business just this side of forever. (about 100 years....) If the dealership chooses that brand of paints to use, I would suspect that their quality is right up there. Don't wanna use cheap crap, and have to re-do it every year or so.

Yea he is painting it on the side, cant afford to go through dealer, but he says its better paint than what the dealer has him use(PPG), and it will be sprayed in a better booth.

I noticed they have been around just cant find any reviews on auto paint

Yeah, I wasn't able to come up with any either. If you trust the guy, and think he knows his stuff, go for it. Actually, pretty cheap for a quality paint job.
