on the 4x4s chances of a wheel falling off isnt very likely since you have the spindle nut that holds the axle to it, and if the bearing itself breaks, there will be a significant decrease in driveablility and idk about you, but when i suddenly feel a decrease in drivability i pull over to check out whats goin on. and of course youd notice that the tire isnt sitting right on the truck.

but in the event that it does happen, well you have bigger problems than a bearing that broke.
