stock converter stall
i'm not sure of your needs, but generally a high rpm stall is for racing and getting the engine up to a higher rpm for the hole shot.
for low rpm driving, towing and dirt road riding, a lower rpm stall is better.
Monte recommends this place.

7. A low stall converter would be best. Talk with Precision of New Hampton in Iowa. They make a great RV converter for the 46re.

Seems to me, that a 1600 to 1900 stall is just a bit low for a truck? Would make more sense to me to have the torque multiplication up to a slightly higher RPM, say, 2200-2400? Give you more torque to get that heavy load moving, or get the tire up over that big rock......
Am I missing something here?

When I rebuild my tranny, MonteC highly recommended Precision of New Hampton. I'm glad he did. It feels real solid. I got a stock converter and I love it.
I had my stocker rebuilt to higher stall rpm.
It was ok, but fried it after about 20k miles & 300 passes.
Stock cam it would stall to 2500rpm
rt+10 cam it would hold till 2700rpm.
Launched best at about 2300rpm with stock or the rt+ cam.
Ive got a Precision Industries Viper 3800stall tc now
