Default Gauges

Hello Everyone,

I am thinking about installing an A pillar with gauge ports . I would like to have a transmission temp gauge as well as a water temp gauge . I was wondering what brand of gauges you are using or recommending and where to get them. I am also wondering how the senders mount for both. Thanks in advance

I do not have them, but glowshift guages are nice, and about half the price of autometer, they also used to have a deal with getting a triple pillar and 3 guages for a good deal I think it was 150 or something like that, and I think they still have it

I like Auto Meter Z series gauges, have six of 'em on my xmas list.

Trans temp gauges usually require a sender in the transmission pan -- if you've got a pan with a drain plug in it, you can get a widget to put the sensor there. If you don't, it's time to get a pan with a drain plug anyway. Maybe even a pan that comes with a temp sensor bung so you don't end up with a sender hanging down begging to be whacked by debris.

Coolant temp gauge sensor placement depends upon the sensor you end up with.

im running the tinted 7 color series Glowshift gauges, and have been for nearly two years.. theyre working great, they look great. they are slightly hard to see during the day as stated.. anytime im doing long drives when its light out side, ill just switch the gauge colors to light blue or some lighter color, and its not too bad to see.. at night i keep them red and it looks pretty sweet..

i would reccomend them, however, if you do go the $150 package route (like i did) check the accessories page for other stuff you may need for the install.. the package doesnt (at least not 2 years ago) come with all the required installation parts.. i dont remember what else i had to order but i know there was something for the water temp. and the a/f ratio.. and like stated above you will need a tranny pan with a sensor bung in it.
