Default Cooling Components

Okay. I'm about to drop a 408 back in my truck. My radiator has seen about 350k miles along with all the other coolers on the truck and I was wanting to know what all can be done to upgrade the radiator and cooling system. I was wanting a radiator with a seperate transmission cooler, engine cooler, and A/C condensor with electric fans. Does anyone have a sugestion? Also what would be the easiest way about adding lines for an engine oil cooler?

PS my block is still not put together all the way so I can add something internal if necessary to run lines for an oil cooler if I could get some suggestions.

I've heard people talking about putting a bigger diesel rad as a substitute for the stock one. Someone else will chime in with details.

nobody's ever come back with pics or first hand details. you'd have to adapt the fan shroud and the larger inlet and outlet on the radiator. i've been thinking about it, but haven't needed a new radiator yet.

it would be nice to have a donor truck with diesel or V10 radiator, fan, shroud, and any other accessories like maybe the washer tank. if you could get all this for cheap and see if you could work it ok. then if so, buy a new, larger radiator if needed.

well the v10 has the washer bottle on the right fender so wouldnt have to worry about that preatty sure the washer bottle is the same as the v8s not sure but i thought they were then could just pick a shroud up and find a big enough electric fan to fill the fan opening and it would look like it came that way minus the big space between the engine and the shroud.

Washer bottle is on the left. I found an option from a custom radiator shop that can build a custom radiator set up with all aluminum and no plastic. Biggest issue is going to be how to plum up an engine oil cooler if its possible

no big loss when not having an oil cooler built into the radiator. just mount a big 'ol mega-btu RV cooler on the front of the radiator. both the engine and the transmission will be happier.

Summit has a few bolt in units that have 2 and 3 row cooling instead of the factory 1 row. They are pricey thought, roughly $500.
