Yup more money gone..... But what fun this mod was...

or goto the start of the project.

If you have one already you wont get much out of this....
Added June 2nd - Thanks for all the kind words on the site. It really is time consuming to document the project like I did. I just wanted to do my small part and make this forum a nicer place to visit. Your positive comments are well taken.... Although my personal website isnt the most fancy it does get the job done and it took me longer to post up the pictures and type in my thoughts than the whole install of the intake... I guess i need to learn how to type.. lol
good luck...

Thanks. Will look even better when I get my tires and rims next month.
Man its fun modding things out. I wish I had the time to pull the engine and make some real power but since Im overseas the machine shops charge a ton of money to do anything.
take care

Nice writeup
, but want to add a suggestion just so you look alittle more informed on your page. The item you had to hang on the relocation bracket is the Evaporative Purge Solenoid.

I like it!!
If you dont mind me asking, what'd you pay for you lightforces?
Im thinking of getting the 240HID's myself, are they pretty simple to wire up?

The prices are all on the www.off-roadlights.com
I paid around 290 with shipping if I remember right
Very simple to wire up but you should buy the wiring harness ( wasnt in the box ) if you dont have some nice wire in your garage.

How do you like it so far?
One thing I noticed as time went on was the un-willingness for the motor to breath well at upper rpms. you can fix this with this filter K&N RD-1460. I put this on and the upper rpms come alive, however you do loose a slight amount of low end torque. Depending on your truck, it may or maynot matter to you. With mine being a heavy QC and now 295 tires, I need all the low end i can get so right now mine is on the shelf. The one thing to point out if anyone is going to get one of those filters is the flange is not long enough to reach thru the heat shield and grab the tube well enough to stay on so you will have to move the heat shield closer to the firewall by adding a spacer near the radiator and drilling a new mounting hole.
Your truck, it's a single cab S/B?
