My 1999 dodge ram pickup has some issues. The OD light turns on then shortly after the Trans temp light comes on. I took it to the dodge dealer and they put a bigger cooler on it. Why is it still doing this??

Because the tranny needs a rebuild.

Or maybe the check valve is plugged....... (in the tranny cooler line. a cooler as big as a house isn't going to help if the fluid doesnt go thru it.....)

Hate to break it to ya bud, but my dad has a 99 and had the EXACT same thing start happening..... it's something in the OD unit of the trans that has let go, and yes, it does require a rebuild....

edit to add: That Dodge dealer soaked ya for a bigger cooler, but when dad got his rebuilt at a reputable trans shop they threw a new cooler on it too. I dunno if it's any bigger, but they recommended it cause they get plugged up with junk and bits of metal etc from the inside of the trans...
