Default 98 Ram 1500 4x4 Frt Ball joints

I am looking for a set of aftermarket set of upper and lower ball joints..

The original dodge ball joints appeared to be indexed when removed 2 years ago and they where replaced with standard MOOG ball joints..

I am not sure, but because the inside of both tires is wearing out, I had them check the (non-adjustable) Chamber - I need a ball joint with a 1 degree of positive chamber..

I assume this is because the DODGE ball joint where indexed / offset and the MOOG ball joints where standard ones that where installed..

So two questions -

Are the original Dodge ball joints indexed and offset 1 degree??

Are there any known - preset (non adjustable) - indexed and offset after market Ball joints available???

im a alingment tech the stock ball joints are no adjustable. what is your chamber sitting at now if its out by a degree then u would need to a 1 degree offset ball joint and throw it in the right way. the reason u need these is because its a solid beam and u cant just bend it back ya know. if u just put the ball joint in towards the inside or outside of the truck it will only adjust chamber if u turn it towards the front of the truck or back of the truck it will do chamber and caster so u will need to know what your alingment specs are before u do anything if u got them i can tell ya what ya need.

yea if your chamber is out they make them in half degree incerments so u can put a half degree a one degree or all they way upto 2 degree so it all depends on where your chamber is at.

Where can you get - 1 degree preset offset after market Ball joints???

Autozone shows a listing - but no part numbers...

MOOG adjustable ball joints are up to 1 3/4" adjustable.. (about 16 Degrees)

can't you rotate the moog from 0* to +1.75* or -1.75* ?
would that work, so you only rotate them about half of their potential adjustment to achieve your 1* ?

Thanks for posting that pdf.. As the NAPA counter person read it as 1 3/4 inches of adjustment, rather then 1.75 degrees...

I work at Advance Auto.

The two above me are right. Go ahead and get your alignment checked out to see where you are at right now. Then go to an auto parts store somewhere and tell them you need the Moog problem solvers. I think they only make them for the chryslers, but they should have them in stock for your truck. All you do is turn the stud of the balljoint one way or the other depending how you need it to adjust.
