Default question on the o2 sensor.

hey all. i have a 2001 ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.2, its an a/t. i have the square plug end on my o2 sensor. im looking at rockauto.com for them. which p/n is the one i need. sg209t, or sg229t? thanks in advance!

according to the SMP website, you need a round plug, not a square one, and they list a different pair of numbers.

see here. you can enter in year/model, or just put go to "part number search".

i managed to buy the wrong one, getting a square plug from NTK when i needed a round. then just ended up cutting/splicing my old plug on.


edit - remove and measure your old for wire length. also double check your plug shape.

i already checked my truck side connectors to confirm i need the square connector. so that website is in fact wrong. according to the website i need sg1852. but i made my decision to go with an ntk sensor instead.

NTK (NGK) makes good sensors. Good choice.
