Well, I dont do too much towing. I already have the tint and CAI. Would going back down to a 265 tire from my 285's help it move a little quicker or not?

For an engine with 97k miles on it, do I need to replace anything else if I did the harland 1.7's?

nope you will be fine to do that mod

 

If you go from the 285/75 to a 265/75 of the same tire you might be able to tell the difference some notice it others dont. I dont think its worth it unless your dropping to a smaller tire for another reason, the added traction of the 20mm makes more difference than you think it would.
