Default Extra money...what to do

Hey all,

I want to do some more small things to my truck, but Im not sure if it would be a good idea to save up for gears when I have 285's, or if thats wasted money. Would headers do anything with dual exhaust thats not true duals? I was thinkin maybe harlands (the ones that dont require changing cam and other stuff) Or the fastman throttle body. I really dont know.

What would you suggest?

id say get some headers and a highflow cat if you like making noise or get the roller rockers from southeast performance as they are the cheapest place and you will notice a nice gain from both

I think you should save that money for a rainy day. Wait until you have to replace something, that shouldn't take long anyway.

Save the money, something will break, its just a matter of when, and when it does you upgrade it to a performance part

Just spent $3500 on a tranny rebuild, so Im good there. This is MY money to do whatever with lol. Things that break and stuff come out of the family account.

If I went to a 265 from a 285 tire size, would I notice much gain? I dont want to go to a 245, but dont really want to do gears if I can help it.

Well going by what you got done already I would say get the harlands, and I say this because you already got the poorman mod done and the kegger so you should be good on the breathing part.

Yeah headers will help but your looking at similar price for the harlands, and I think you will get more gain from them over the headers.

Gears will make a difference, my guess is you would go with 4.10's...do you do any towing?? If so that would be nice but if you do alot of highway it may not be the best decision

i would say 1.7 and fastman are both great for low end torque with more giddy up along ith the spectra cold air intake ! and then a highflow cat
