Default What motor whould i go with?

Hello everyone. Im new to this forum and new to the whole dodge thing. Im looking to do a motor swap in my 96 dodge 1500. I was wondering what motors you've all seen swapped into these. My rams got 140,000 miles on it and im wanting to upgrade my powertrain now. Thanks for any help

Welcome to DF.

I will move this to the main (technical) section of 2nd gen Ram, as it is technical. Get you more answers that way.

Only ones I've seen swapped into our trucks has been the new 345 5.7, the 426 and the 440...

Nice 06 is the 94 a GT with the cobra bumper or a cobra? I'm planing on building a 408 stroker for my 94. Have the 351 all tore down just need to get it checked out before I start buying parts. Gonna basically restore the car cause it looks horrible from sitting for like 5 years.

I think you are a good ways away.

Anyway what kinda power you looking for out of the truck?
