Default Body lift or suspension lift

I am looking at lifting my truck and I can't decide between a 3" body lift or a topgun customz 3" suspension lift with aal instead of blocks. I am not looking to off road, just want to add bigger tires and like the look of a lifted truck. Any thoughts?

My vote is suspension lift, now im not against the body lift but a 3" suspension lift is easy and simple enough to accomplish before needing custom work

Agreed. Plus, if im not mistaken, A body lift would make your bumpers sit lower and you'd have a gap. And 4 wheelers wont make fun of you for it. Ha ha

you can get bumper brackets for the body lift, but i would go with the suspension lift instead...when i do lift trucks though, i like to keep performance in mind as well as looks...for the suspension lift i recommend fabtech or skyjacker...that is if it's not a custom job...just a thought

Why fabtech or skyjacker? I've heard many good things about topgun customx, that is why I am asking why the other 2.

when it comes to the dodge ram suspension...fabtech is tops (they are also usually more expensive)...i would personally put skyjacker behind them, but that's just my opinion (skyjacker is usually cheaper than fabtech)...although more expensive, the fabtech kit will outperform the skyjacker kit...but, if you just want the looks, then really any kit will do...just don't expect to "show off" if off-road...however, with any kit, make sure you use quality shocks...even on road, quality shock absorbers will make for a smoother ride and prolong the life of each tire...here i would recommend Bilstein...Bilstein shocks can be rebuilt later on (advantage over shocks from companies such as Rancho)

I'm not looking for the off road capabilities, just the looks. I will look in to the fabtech and skyjacker kits. I was planning on upgrading the shocks with either way I chose to go, but I wasnt sure of the brand to use. Thanks for the info.

I checked out the fabtech kit and it comes with rear blocks. I already have 3.5" blocks from the factory and was told that it's not good to stack blocks.

I wasn't saying I wouldn't use it off road but it was not a priority of mine.
