Default urgent question...help me!!

What is the output housing off the back of the transfer case made out of?
Im at school, thought i had a bad U-joint, so i crawled under her and the output shaft housing is cracked off all the way around. Gunna take it into the welding shop and have someone tack it up for me quick just so i can make it home, we just need to know what its made out of. I think its cast aluminum but thats just a wild guess by looking at it quick

Thanks in advance!!!!

Check the snap ring that hold the rear output bearing in place. It is probably broken.
