The ends will be loose and sloppy, like the tie rod ends.

Have some sit in the drivers seat, and with the engine running (in park, brake set) turn the steering wheel back and forth sharply while you watch the trackbar for movement. You'll be using the hydraulic pressure from the steering system to accomplish this check. Look closely at the lower end bushing, and the ball-socket joint at the frame for any amount of movement. Any wear in the trackbar will actually cause the axle to shift side to side & you'll see it moving separately from the frame.

I've been through multiple causes of the death wobble on my 97 Ram with 13'' of lift. It can be a pain in the ***, but it forces you to keep all the components in your front end maintained properly which is a good thing.

Feel free to shoot me a pm if you've got questions. I've had plenty of frustration dealing with the wobble in my truck but have probably figured out every likely cause.

Good luck, and nice truck!

I would say +1 on the track bar.
You might also wanna check where the steering box is mounted, if that hasn't been brought up yet. I know the frame likes to crack right there sometimes.

BTW, nice rig. Any more pics?

If you want to see what it will look like if you have worn trac bar bushings then watch the video in the first post on this thread https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...questions.html

Where are the pics of this 13" lift truck? It's bound to be a monster.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but here you go -

10'' of suspension lift, and 3'' body lift. Those are 38'' TSLs in the photos. It will clear 44s with room to spare, but that's a little too much tire for the 1/2 ton diffs. The 40'' LTBs I have on it now work excellent with the 4.56 gears and the 318 is still running strong. Hands down the toughest rig I've ever owned.

Its okay no problem. Nice truck.

So update on my wobbly truck...I put all new tie rod ends on my truck today and alot of the wobble went away but there is still a little there..i think a little more wobble then just the alignment being off...

Lost at what to do now...
