I really am not sure which it is, it just has the "eco mpg" thing and the number about it. It's mostly highway driving though. I just got a tank of gas and checked on the mileage since the last tank and all so i'm gonna calculate it up once i decide to go back out to the truck and get the receipts.

don't worry, i did do the search. actually i was looking at a bunch of threads yesterday about that problem. If i decide to get something done tomorrow instead of sit around and watch football all day, I will get under the hood and check things out.

so what mustang do ya have?

Sounds about right, I get 10 MPG with the V-10 unloaded, highway or no highway

well, looked under the hood today just to check the computer. it has the sticker saying authorized update....great. so much does a tuner help on these trucks if i ordered one? would a canned tune be off since the plenum issue? i didn't get up in the engine bay so i dont know if there is actually a leak but i assume since they updated it, that it probably is blown.

the 01's came with death flash from the factory. mine has a computer printed sticker for the "authorized update".

if you have a leaking plenum, the advanced timing from a tuner of any kind will expose massive pinging. i went through that. 87 tune in with 87 gas - bad ping. 89/92 gas ok, except for the expense. tune removed - no ping. tune back in - bad ping. overall a superchips tune is like a return to stock, and corrects the speedo for large tires, so its ok.

a $40 tps actually helped me more than anything, eliminated what felt like a terrible dead spot in the gas pedal.

i get about 13-14mpg in city and 14-17 highway. do tune up, front o2, etc
