Default how to visually ID a 318 vs 360
sorry for the newbie question, but when wandering around junkyards, how can I tell the difference between a 318 & 360 when the poor truck has been largely picked over?

i pretty sure that the front damper is different between the 360 and 318

If the truck still has the dash or you can find it some where else, you can tell by the vin# too. 8th VIN Y=318 Z=360

The 318 harmonic dampner will not have a weight on the back side. The 360 will have a weight on the backside of the dampner.

can you even see the backside of the damper ?

i guess u could fell around to see if it had the weight on the back. i know u can buy the 360 damper at advance auto but not the 318 one why is that?
