lower ball joint falling out! 98 ram 1500 4x4

I have the same problem and I was going to get a used A arm from the junk yard and replace it. but would I run into the same problem later??

Do the coal chisel thing i was talking about. Ask your local alignment guy, Its an old trick that works great. Just do not do it all the way around or youll never get them pressed back in . I did a line about 1 mm apart just on 2/3 of the lip around and it was almost enough to almost bust an autozone balljoint press with a 1/2 breaker bar. and they were sooo lose before I literally placed the lower by hand,,,,lol

You have a 4wd(so that works), and since ANGELO hasn't put ANY info about his truck in his sig, I suspect it's a 2wd ("A arm from junk yard") which is different.

Don't apologize to me sir. It only helps with diagnosing any probs with your truck.(they are not all the same) And I still don't see any info.

If you weld it in you put the grease in after and I would hope you would take the boot off to do this

Ha figured part of how to put the info on Thought I did but I guess I did not. Still have to figure out how to put it at the bottom of the post.
Anyway back to the topic welding is the best way?? Or installing a used A arm ona 2wd 3/4 ton

I'd get the used A arm and put the new bj in it. But, if you have access to a welder, there is nothing wrong with going that route either.
