****!
But wouldn't it eventually try to flow into the rest of the pan and get cooked up?

No, because it's getting sucked out.

Great.
I guess I'll figure out how to do the TSB (which you hate ).
Which plate setup is better? Hughes or APS?
I know I've heard bad things about Hughes....
Also, where can you get the intake bolts and plenum bolts at?
I'm figuring that if I can get away with it, I'll buy the pan and then everything else separate to save myself some money upfront.

I had no probs with Hughes. Pretty much everyone here has the Hughes. And in the long run, I think it's cheaper to get the intake bolts all at once. The kit comes with the plate bolts anyway, IIRC.

So, do you need belly pan bolts as well as manifold bolts?
I'm just trying to clarify.
I know a steel backed gasket, do they come with the FEL-PRO gaskets? Or would it be better if I bought a FEL-PRO separate?

Like I said, IIRC the kit comes with the pan bolts. Most people use the Felpro gaskets. Some have used the steel pan gasket and just the felpro intake gaskets with no ill effects. The steel gasket must work fine, or I'm sure Hughes would know it doesn't by now. BTW, Felpro also makes the intake bolts. You can price them out and compare to the Hughes set.

The bolts are $21 from Hughes and $34 from Advance.
