Default Part number for a proper Y pipe

Hi,

I'm certain there's a vehicle/year/motor combination I can tell the muffler shop I have in order to give me a proper y-pipe (ie. one that the catalytic converter isn't an integral part of) in order to utilize a normal, universal cat.

Can anyone help?

I've got a very limited shop selection here, and they're all not going to just remove the cat. Direct replacement is over $500 parts and labor (LOL) and rather than ask these losers to fab something up for me I'd like to be as self-sufficient as possible on principal alone.

Just cut the cat off and put a universal one back on. You can get a Magna Flow high flow cat from Summit or Jegs. They are only like $80 IIRC.

I can't, because my y-pipe is retarded.

Magnaflow makes a y pipe just like that one that is separate from the cat, and you could put a Cat on behind it.
