Default valve cover gaskets

well i went to the shop to have my exhaust hanger welded back on (weld broke) and while on the lift i noticed a lot of oil all over. coming from above the head (thank god) looks like its just the pass side gasket that is bad. any brand i should buy? also if anyone has an old set of valve covers that fit the 5.2 (i guess 5.9 is the same, not positive) and would sell them for a decent price, id be interested in buying them. (im gonna get creative with them)

Hate to state the obvious, but try tightening the bolts.

re-snugging bolts will often fix this, especially with the reusable rubber gaskets and the fact that the bolts tend to loosen over time. you often find the bolts to be less than finger tight.

if that doesn't fix it, the super nice (and expensive) felpro rubber gaskets are the last set you'll ever have to buy.

did the oil change (valvoline sull synthetic 10w30, K&N oil filter)

all the valve cover bolts took between 1/4 - 3/4 turn and the ones in the back on the drivers side took a full turn and the passenger side back bolts werent even finger tight. ill drive it for a while and see if that clears it up. still would like to make my valve covers look better without spending $200 on the mopar magnum ones, but ill wait until i figure out if im getting rid of the truck first.

planning on painting the top with engine enamel red, then masking a strip on each bump of the valve cover then spraying the whole thing with the wrinkle coat, i think it would look amazing for stock V/C's
