The lines are backward some where. One line should have vac in 2wd (no vac when in 4wd) and the other should have vac when in 4wd ( no vac when in 2wd).

Yes, either place will do it. If it's working now and you have the red line toward the passenger side of the cad, that means the lines are not right on the TC switch or going into the soft lines before the CAD.

i tried to switch em on the tc switch but there are notches in the rubber boot that fits on it only one way. so i guess somehow someone connected them wrong, but i guess as long as its working with those two lines switched, everythings good.

and so far the drivers side u joint replacement was a sucess, man were the needle bearings in that old joint dry!

The lines are switched from where they come from the TC switch,to where they go into the soft lines on the cross member then.

ok, so you've replace both axle u-joints, passenger side seal, cad parts, t-case vac switch, and everything's working and the front axle is full of oil, and nothings leaking. right?

and your previous mechanic who blamed the new seal leak on a damaged axle was full of ****? right.

and the only thing you haven't replaced yet is the driver's side seal? right.

man, you're good to go. nice work and congratulations.
