I have a 98 ram 1500 ss/t and the pull out type headlight switch. At first the switch burnt out so i replaced it with a new one and a new pigtail out of a junkyard dodge van. Since then I havent had dash lights and now my runnings lights wont work. Ill pull the switch out on notch and nothing happens unless it hits a certain spot but then i pull it out to the 2nd notch and my headlights come on but everything else shuts off. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The headlight switch brand new or use out of the JY Van? If you cut and spliced the wires for the pigtail I'd check them. And you do know that rotating the headlight switch dims and brightens the dash lights right?
