94 ram 318 tow rig
but i just lost my job and had to sell my 08 ram 1500 hemi i got a 94 ram 1500 2wd with a 318 my problem is i pull a 32ft 5th wheel car trailer with my 93 dakota mud truck (combined weight around 8700lbs) and i also pull my 29ft camper this truck pulls great doesnt sway or sag but it just lacks power on the on ramps. i need some more power out of this motor but not sure where to go should i just do a cat back and intake or gears and cam or what just give me feedback please
if you haven't fixed your plenum with a hughes plate, do that.
if you haven't put on a new tps, that can help some, eliminating dead spots.
gears will be your biggest improvement.
a computer friendly RV rated cam might help.
being a 94, i don't know what computer options you have... see what others say.
after these couple of things, hp becomes very expensive.

you can get a mopar performance pcm from summit for about $250.....but its tuned for 91+ octance...you get 10HP, 15 TQ according to the description, and this will def. help, but get new gears, thats the best thing you could do.
Not good to tow with the mopar com
I would do a big tune up change tran fluid add temp gauge and lager tran cooler
gears would be a good upgrade
Also one ton wheel cly to help with braking... I'm hoping the trailer have ebrakes
a rv cam would be great but also a 1.7 roller rocks would be great as a simple bolt on
