1994 ram 1500 5.2 barely runs and wont rev
I have gone through every thing i can think of. every cylinder has 150 psi, i have checked the timing a ***t load of times and checked all the sensors. What it is doing is it starts hard almost like it is flooding, when it does start I cant rev it at all maybe i get a extra 500 rpm's there is some black smoke, but i figure that is from it running like crap. anyone have any ideas?
welcome to df.
black smoke is an indication of flooding.
could be a clogged cat, leaking injector, bad O2, bad crank or cam sensor.
temporarily remove the O2 sensor to relieve possible pressure at the cat, and just let the sensor hang out. see if it starts any better.
inspect the plugs for evidence of any or all of them fouling. if its just one, it points to an injector dumping gas.
