ya when i had the superchips i could run 87 gas with 91 tune with no problems...

there is also i big power diffrence between the 2 . think i ping because the sct is more aggresive
i run sct 91 tune with 93 gas and pings

ill let you guys know tonight how the autolites do !

I absolutely agree with the notion of bad gas. You'd be surprised the lack of regulation concerning octanes at the pump tanks. I've seen 'extra' 87 dumped in the 93 tank and sold as such. There is a ratio they must abide by but rarely will they. True 91 or 93 is hard to find. Your truck will notice this though.

what do you guys gap at .40 ?

usally when i run 711 gas it seems more sluggish than bp thats why i get bp gas

I was just being a smartass in my last post, but I will say I can't imagine there being a "big" power difference like you describe.

lastrights if you have a chevron try going there, I fill up at the same gas station every time and have never had a problem, and for the people that dont like chevron, it cant be ****ty gas and reccomended by the most car manufactures and the most for marine motors.

I figure I'll just post here instead of making a new thread. Do I really have to get the 180 t-stat or can I get away with the stock 190 t-stat? Hemifever said he'd have to play with the tune since I have a 2500 so it won't ping.

I have a stock stat in mine and no problems, but when I get the chance I will go to the 180
