Thanks. I think I'll stick with the 190 for a while and if I see a need to get the 180, i probably will.

Im using champion plugs with mine. The only time I ping is when I switch to 93 octane, but get ****ty gas. I switched to a 180 t-stat, but just got switched back after I took my truck back to Aamco for a shifting problem, and the problem ended up being the 180 stat opening around 165 and keeping my truck in the closed loop. I havent had any problems with the 190 or any changes in performance...she still giddy ups and goes!

You will run hotter with a more advanced tune and higher stat if you put your engine into a bad position(sitting idling in heat). But, is it even hot in Rhode Island right now? If not, and if it won't warm up there for awhile, just leave it.

did you get the 3923's? werent you having a missing problem before?

just remember who told you this..... you will be changing the plugs again in about 3-5k. been through 3 sets of the 3923's. always ended up causing a missfire. i tried to warn you about them before.

The 3923s have mixed results. Some engines hate them, some seem to do really well with them. My only complaint, personally, is that Autolite is known for pretty iffy quality control.

Yeah, It cooled down about halfway through September so I should be good until May for sure. I'll definatly keep an eye on it though this summer. As a volly firefighter my truck tends to idle on the side of the road if I go to the scene of a car accident so I'll def keep the temp in check. Thanks for the help!
