Default speedo sensor

so i have a 95 ram 1500 w/ a 360 and the 46rh (i think). i have a leak coming from the speedo gear/sensor seal on the transmission. is it as simple as removing the old one and bolting a new one up? or is it going to be a headache

No headache, just head full of tranny oil! Have a pan underneath, everything ready to go and swap it as fast as possible.

Grabbing another housing and everything either from the dealer, or, from the junkyard, and swapping it out quickly. Probably take all of five minutes. O-ring would be cheaper, and probably a bit messier. Maybe 10 minutes.
