Could be the driver side switch I suppose. Does the passenger side work fine when you use that switch?

nope neither the driver side or passenger side switch work. I just would find it weird that they worked i went inside for 10 minutes and they dont. I cant imagine them both going bad at the same time but i checked wiring and dont see how they could be wired together so i guess its off to the junk yard for some new switches

Mine does this at least once a month no big deal, they should reset after a couple of times of running the truck. Tip don't leave your keys in the truck, mine will lock itself every once in a while for no reason.

Well, there is a reason , one of the switches is probably bad. Most likely the driver side. It get's the most use, water and dirt.

Then again, the passenger side hardly ever gets used, so it might have an internal corrosion problem.

I agree, I know it's not any of my switch's I am thinking along the line that it lies in the pcm functions, I which case I will live with it.The trucks done it pretty much since new. I am not saying that this is it for sure but before he goes running for parts he should do as you suggested and check his switches, Try your key in the door lock and cycle it a couple of time's and see if that helps, Could be old sticky grease on the door locks that are binding it up.

I could be wrong and probably am, but,I don't think the PCM has anything to do with it. I do agree on your other point's though. Beside's, if he can get the switches at a U pull it JY, they might be 5 bucks total. Atleast they can be eliminated as the problem.

My door locks quit working a while back and I pulled the fuse, it was good so put it back in. They have worked ever since. Guess the blades on the fuse needed cleaned.

zman17 you are right and I am wrong, for some reason I thought is was part of the pcm functions, But I just looked at the bible and It does not control the door locks. So now I am curious as to what does control the door locks?
