2000 Ram 1500, constant battery drain...
My 2000 1500, that i bought from my boy is suffering from a constent drain on the battery, My Friend that i bought it from , had to install a kill switch, to stop the problem, Any Ideas...
Has any troubleshooting at all been done? Have any other modifications been performed?
One possibility is a hung relay in the PDC. The easy way to isolate one of those is to measure the current from the battery with the key off, all loads switched off, and door closed. Just pull one relay at a time while watching the current -- if the current falls to very near zero with one of them, that's the hung relay.
If that turns up nothing, try pulling fuses one at a time in the same fashion. That should isolate the circuit so you don't have to hunt throughout the vehicle.

I guess i will have to have the dealer run a scan and see what part of the seatbelt control system is malfunctioning.
The acceptable constant drail level is .20-.22 milli-amps.

my truck did the same thing. dead battery, new battery was dead 5 minutes later. my brother in law is a aircraft mechanic, he came over to look at it . we found the drivers seat motor was shorted out. unplugged it ,problem solved
