A/C Question
So this question isnt for a ram :/ Its for my dad 2006 f250, but since I trust and know y'all I thought I would ask you guys! We tried to charge of his A/C system last night (its friggin hot here in VA right now!) and put in some stop leak to see if we can fix whereever its leaking without actually having to really try (ya we're lazy and ya I know if we get it vacuumed they'll hate us). So while filling it up i noticed the gauge would go from like 80 psi (when the clutch was off) to like 20 psi when the clutch would kick on. As soon as it gets to 20 psi, the clutch kicks off and it builds back up to 80 when it kicks on again. What the hell is going on?
Still low on refrigerant. You want the 'desired' pressure while the compressor is running. Should be a chart on the side of the can of refrigerant, that tells you what pressure should be, for the given current ambient temp.
This forum does rock, hence why im so active! And I filled the ac in my truck awhile ago.. a few months that is and i guess i've just forgotten the pressure going up and down when cycling. I figured it needed more air because of the cycling though.
Virginia Florida is a mix. Im originally from New Hampshire, moved to Virginia and now I go to school down in Florida. Hence why i filled my a/c around February while in Florida!
