how to open CAD? are the holes threaded?
I sheared off three of the 4 cad housing bolts. I'm starting to get desperate and frustrated.
I used a pry bar and put a lot of pressure on it, but it still won't pop. Wonderinf if its because of the 3 bolts which were sheared. Are those holes in the cover part threaded too?
If not, do I just need to wail on it with a hammer and a pry bar to get that to pop?
Also, when I put it back on, I'f I cant get the bolts out, I'm going to just strap it down for now. Do you just use RTV on there like you do on the diff?
The haynes manual is useless here...

cad cover is not threaded. just regular open holes.
i've used rtv for the cad gasket and diff covers many times, but always with bolts to hold the cover on.
you really should drill out the broken bolts and install new ones. the shaft and fork and stuff is attached to the cover, and if the fork was to bind up, it might pop the cover off.
