od switch questions

Default od switch questions

if i hit my od switch it does nothing no lights no anything. Is there a light on the dash that is supposed to come on? aslo i have checked the plug in and it is connected

its supposed to light, does it turn overdrive off????, I will be taking my foglight switch apart again in a couple days and can take pictures I would assume that the switches are the same.

It's just a momentary switch. I would check to make sure it has continuity to the PCM, and check it by wiring up a cheap switch.

no my od does not turn off and i guess i will go out and wire in a switch to see if it will kick out of od with it...

ok so i went and pulled my od switch out and i dont have a clue which wires to hook up to a switch...please if someone knows what 2 wires to hook up let me know please

local scrap yard dont have one and i am supposed to be pulling my car tailer with my dakota on it to a mud fest in the morning. so i am looking to see if i can rig it till i find a new switch on ebay or something

ok got a new switch still no luck i checked it with a voltmeter and i have a good ground and power coming in so i have no clue what is going on ...does it go to the ecm or what but i still dont have a light on my od switch either???

NO 4-3 DOWNSHIFT
WHEN CONTROL SWITCH
IS TURNED OFF
1. Control Switch Open/Shorted. 1. Test and replace switch if faulty.
2. Overdrive Solenoid Connector
Shorted.
2. Test solenoids and replace if seized or
shorted.
3. PCM Malfunction. 3. Test with DRBT scan tool. Replace PCM
if faulty.
4. Valve Body Stuck Valves. 4. Repair stuck 3-4, lockup or lockup timing
valve.
