1/5 ton had A518 46re,3/4 to gas can have A518 46RE or 47RE diesels have A618 47re, 1ton gas have A518 47RE diesels have A618 47Re 0r 48re. Most of the parts are can be swapped except for a few things. I built my trans in my 97 1500 to handle over 650 hp because I'm turning into a off road and mud truck. I came across this page as I'm looking for upgrades to the 5.9 I'm building. I'm planning on running a super charger with possible nitrous added later if I can get the time to work on it.
