Default PCM Part Numbers?

I've got a P0601 on my truck now. It needs a new PCM. I cant seem to find a match for the P/N on my PCM. The number i have is: P56040205AB. My parts store cant cross referance that number. Does anyone know what PCM I need?

ALSO. This number was printed on an AUTHORIZED UPGRADE sticker that was placed over the original. could this be a different number than the original PCM sticker had on it?

Can you find a similar unit in a junkyard? Or, do one of the yards near you have a parts locater service? Might wanna give that a shot.

helms, where you been? The number on that sticker is not the right one. That number is given after a flash. Maybe try and remove it and see the sticker below. But I agree with heyyou. Or, if you don't use the truck that much, you can send your's and have it fixed. One other thing, the part # on the pcm might be the same as a pcm on a completely different optioned truck and is just flashed differently.

The part number is neraly correct. Just remove the P in the beginning.
The part number you can look up in the 2002 parts manual to check if it is correct.

P.S.
after a check through an online parts dealer the 56040205AB is superseeded and replaced by 56040205AC
