passenger pwr window won't go down
My 97 ram 1500 4x4 laramie passenger window will not go down unless I reverse the wires going to the motor then only if I push the button in the upward direction. Is this a driver's side switch or passenger's side switch problem or something else? I just replaced the passenger's side switch so I don't feel like it is this. Help!

5 bucks maybe! Seriously though. There are some threads on here I've read with your exact problem, and it was the driver side switch. It get's the most abuse from use and water on it from the window being open. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting it a few time's? Maybe the plug is corroded.

The driver's side switch acts a "master" device and the passenger side switch is the "slave." If the driver's side is malfunctioning, the passenger side won't work either. My guess is that when you reverse the wires, that up no longer works, correct?
Before you buy a new driver's side switch, try removing the it and bend the 4 large prongs that correlate with the passenger side control so that they make better contact with the female ends in the wiring harness. Also inspect the harness for any shorts or frays in the wiring. If you see any corrosion, spray it down with some CRC electronic parts cleaner (red can that has a blue picture of a connector on the front) and apply a dab of dielectric grease to the prongs.
Sometimes its a bad connection from moisture corrosion caused by spills or years of wet weather days piling up.
