You have basically 33s for tires, and most likely 3.55 gears. 3.55 gears blow for acceleration regularly, not to mention with those larger tires.

 

could be any number of reason why you lost. they could have had better tire. they could have lockers in there rear axle. they could be in 4x4. you could go all night why the won.

 

if you wanted to go fast, you picked the wrong vehicle.

You're right and wrong, and so am I. If you could write a sentence, you wouldnt say "I have 3:55 gears. I know they really dont accelerate at all." I didnt know that a set of gears accelerate.

LOL, despite all the old muscle cars / pickups I've owned, I had the funnest street races in my 1990 Isuzu Trooper 4 cyl 5 spd. They are so underpowered that the first few gears were really granny gears. I could launch that thing off the line before the other car knew what hit them.

Will never forget a few of the races in that trooper. Probably one of the best rigs I've ever owned.
