The 3:55 gears causes for slow acceleration. Maybe if you knew a thing about mechanics you'd figure that out. I mean damn

 

I've owned both 01 Isuzu Trooper and 98 Dodge Ram with 3.55 and if the Trooper came in a v8 I would have never got rid of it. Overall better accel, braking, steering, and drivability. Stock vs Stock the Isuzu will win everytime which makes no sense since its a 3.5 vs 5.9. Who knows.....

 

Have a look at the weight difference between the two, also, first gear ratios........

You have a fairly stock truck, that of which is designed to do truck things from the factory--not race. If you wanna race it, talk to RM-Indy. Otherwise, feel better knowing that you could probably out-pull the Isuzu.

 

Yea if you lost by a length,which isent alot, with 285s on, with 265s and a few cheaps things to make it run better, you could have taken it.
