Default Slight Hum Noise

I don't if it's just me or my truck hum's at high speeds. My truck is a 4x4 and I really don't know if its normal. Checked all the U-joints and they are tight...and look like the original joints. Suspension is tight as well. So I want anybody who have 4x4's to chime in and tell me if you truck does it as well or if its normal.

It kinda bugs me, cause I somewhat use it for highway use. The last thing I need is something to explode.

Thanks

1996 Dodge Ram 2500

Could be a wheel bearing starting to go. Did you check them too?

I think its either the type of tire, or the pinion bearing like stated before.....a sign of a diff going bad is a hum at highway speeds, then you'll get vibration

What kind of speeds are we talking about? Around 70mph? You sure its not just the exhaust drone?

My rear axle doesn't hum, I know that familiar sound. Wheel bearings are like brand new. I had the truck since Feb of this year. I recently got 4 new LT245/75-16 Cooper Discover AST tires for it. I also re-done the exhaust the right way few weeks ago with a 40-series Flowmaster and a 3in exhaust from a 8800 GVW Ram 2500. So maybe it is the exhaust cause when sitting at idle, it does give a really tune in the cab. I usually do 60-70 mph, depending in the area I am.
