I have a 1996 dodge ram 2500 slt larmie with a 5.9l v8 magnum 4x4 ext cab automatic with a push button over drive what i am needing to know is what gear ratio this truck has and what transmission it has and what problems people tend to have with it becose i am intending on rebuilding the motor and tranny and making me a great work/farm truck any advice would be helpful

p.s. what other modles will enterchange with it interior and body wise thanks

open your hood and look up under the hood, or a free build sheet


my gusse is a 46re and 3.55gears.......... sum 3/4ton came with a 47re but i belive thats only for the v10 and CTD
