Default Bigger Alt??

So I got the number off my alt and after finding an older thread on here it appears to be a 136a. I kinda figured it was anyway. Does anybody make a higher output one for our trucks?

i've heard of shops custom making them rated at 200a, and giving a lifetime warranty.. and ebay often has them rated at 175a or so for around $200.. keep your eyes open and you'll see them.. the PCM is only going to let so many amps out I'm told, but it sure would be nice to know they are there.. especially if you're running lots of light and e-fans, ect..

Actually looking at a 200a on ebay right now. It's 185 +19 for shipping. Not sure why but it says it will fit up to 2000 5.9 and a 2001 CTD

I wonder about that sometimes.. I'm thinking they are using the 'what comes out goes back in' rule.. meaning, it's a rebuild from that rig, which (according to their googling) is the same as the mentioned trucks.. hard to say though.. I'd definitely call or email them first and get a picture of the actual product first.. ebay scares me..

not even sure if the bigger alt will cure the problem. I don't really see why it wouldn't though beings it appears to be a power issue
