Custom springs will have to be made. Get a pack built. Probably shackle flip to keep it cheap.

People wanting to put lift kits arnt doing it to make it a mudding machine. They just want it to look good... Which is why yeah your truck might not roll over when going around a turn at 55mph but mine looks cooler setting there

I am pretty much with a few other people in here. If he wants a 12in lift, then help him with what ever information he needs. For some of us we may not think it will look good, or be practical. Personally, I do think it would look, but I wouldn't do this to much truck because of what I use it for. If he doesn't need it to do many of the functions that some of us need it for, then by all means, jack it up. I use my truck as a DD, and I two with it, so a big lift would kill the purpose of having my truck.

Try out rustysoffroad they mainly deal with jeep's but can custom built anything, and for the rear you'll have to have custom leaf packs made. Any off-road shop can prolly help with piecing a kit together.

Haha, not for a Ram bub. These trucks have no aftermarket. Anything you want, you have to build yourself.

yes, but the suspension is the same design, they should be able to custom make some coil springs to fit the dodge.

just an idea, here is what i did with my 75, all chromemolly heims, and they are semi bags, but they were free, so they got used, i have a small 12 volt, (pacbrake) compressor, there is a load valve in line, so it always stays at the set height no matter how much weight you add or take off of it, and with the trun of a screwdriver, i can set the rear bumper just a few inches from the ground, or get the bottom of the bumper somewhere around 5-6 feet off the ground where the drive shaft binds, but of course i dont do that, it stays at its set height, but it could be adjusted anywhere in between there if i desired
I like that idea. My coworker and I had talked about a set up like that about a year ago. But, set up so on the street it would be at a normal height. On the freeway with no sharp turns, it could be lowered a bit. Then, for offroad, you could crank it up.

I've seen your truck a lot on my way to work. I thought it looks good the way it is.

PS Thunder Bay sucks.

Default Thanks to some, to others find a better use for your time

WOW. If it wasn't for some of the latter posts here I would've lost all faith in mankind. Like I said before I'm open to constructive criticism. CONSTRUCTIVE. Some of you need to get a dictionary. If you think what I want to do is stupid then don't waste your time reading it and commenting on it! Find something better to do with your time! You negative guys act like I'm the only one in the world to EVER jack their truck up 13". Sorry to break it to you but it's been done before. Evidently by some of the guys that commented on this forum. And OBVIOUSLY I know I won't be able to use it for towing or hauling etc. but as some of the guys were able to conclude (THANK GOD) I don't want to. And thank you redheadhunter21 for stating was I thought was obvious (13" of lift will give me a truck that is 13" higher and allow me to clear bigger tires) and to everyone else who had some advice or encouraging things to say. I only started this thread because I want to do it the right way and was looking for some helpful input/insight. Yes I have a 3" body lift in it already and the reason I want to do it is for the looks. That is what I LIKE and I don't really care what other peoples opinions are otherwise I would've created a thread called "Custom suspension lift stupid or not?"
