Charging AC?
ORIGINAL: Capepowder
Hey Mopar:
Most times they leak from the seal around the shaft coming from the compressor. I had the same issue (slow leak) but this year when I charged it I used R134a with stop leak. I won't know until next season if it held (last year I got a season out of it). Time will tell.
Good Luck

So EXPECT your truck to lose a little freon every year and this trend will continue until someone figures out a better way to remove heat from the air.
In fact in the School I went to the instructor drilled into our head that there is no such thing as cold air. Just Air with varying amounts of heat in it. When we used to tell him the car was blowing nice cold air he would freak out on us and say NO the AC system is removing heat efficently. blah blah blah
Anyway good luck..
thanks for all of the info on the more common problems. Hopefully my truck is just a slow leak. A guy that I work with at autozone has pressure guages so ill probably just buy a can of 134 w/ stop leak and hopefully that will solve my problems.
