Default Steering Help

I have a steering issue that it seems like no one has been able to solve. I have a 2000 1500 2wd that pulls to the left a little. It is a real pain because it eats through tires but every time I take it to get an alignment, I am told it looks pretty good. I get it re-aligned and the problem persists.

Now, from what I understand, the truck was in a front end collision where another car hit the front right corner. A dealership susposidly fixed all issues, but the other owner said that the steering has always been "a little weird" (his words) since then. Why he didn't take it back to the dealer, I have no idea.

With that said, I have looked over just about everything I can think for any slight bending, and cannot find anything. Right now I am wondering if possibly the steering box could be the culpret, but I don't want to just start throwing parts at it.

Has anyone got any ideas on what might cause this? I was doing some research and the steering coupler seems like it could also be a culpret, but I wanted a few opinions before I had to break out the checkbook.

Thanks!
Chris

After reading this ^^ The first place I would start is a good reputable frame shop, Have them put it on there frame table and check it out from front to back. You probably can't see where the frame is bent, It takes a shop to do this.

Hey you, I'll try and snap some pics. It's tough because I don't drive the truck much (just use it to pull a boat) and it's dark when I leave for work and when I get home. I'll be able to get some by Saturday by the latest.

Merc, I didn't even think about the frame being bent. I saw some pics of the wreck, it was very minor. Just a softball sized dent and a bent wheel, but it was right on the corner of the frame, so I could see that tweeking it just a bit.

On another note, what is your 225 Merc attached to?

It's hanging on the wall collecting dust, It was on 20' 1989 Hydrostream Venus which was one of the most fun/scary fast boats 80+mph I have driven. They were one of my favorite motors to hop up, that motor has a 275 powerhead on it and some big carbs moded exhaust and some other goodies in/on it making close to 350hp. So merc225hp is just a user name. Unfortunately I have made my living working on boats for the past 20 years and I no longer enjoy any type of boating at all. I actually retired this year from that career and am moving on to something else, I don't mind talking about boats at all, if you need any info on marine work pm me and we can talk.
