3500 diesel coils on 1500
well my buddies truck was my dad's and it was in the family since 98......so i think i would know, and theres no coils lol........and he hauled a 32 ft. camper no problem, and the front didnt collapse.....
I have a 96 2wd 1500 and i have coil spring up front,
I know i replaced everything there last year.
The coil spring are what support the weight of the vehicle.
The shocks are there to help control the bounce of the vehicle when you hit a bump.
Dave
You are wrong bud! They ALL have coils. And just because you did the shocks means nothing. They are not inside the spring like on a 4X4.
Have a look at these pics https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...placement.html

Really? I am real curious what happened to them then. Considering it came from the factory with them in there.....
i have never seen a ram without coils on front guess yours had really strong shocks lol...hey its ok we all make mistakes and say stupid things just man up and admit you made a mistake
with no springs it would rub tires like crazy becuase it would be bottomed out 24/7, I drive a 96 2wd I would know and if you dont believe us look on ebay at the lift coils and lowering coils.
heres a video if you notice there a red colored thingy between the upper and lower control arms, that is the infamous coil spring, and guess what I may have put that one in but there was one in there from stock and every 2wd dodge ram 1500 94-01 comes with two of them thingy's from the factory.....sounds like someone needs some blinker fluid
