Default Changing the gearing?

How hard is it to change the gearing in these trucks?

If these are all the parts involved it couldn't be that hard could it?

Default RE: Changing the gearing?

It’s more complicated than that. You also should get a master install kit, which includes new seals, bearings, and shims. Make sure that the master install kit uses Timken bearings, they are a must. It’s always a good idea to replace the bearings when you have your rear-end tore down. You also have to adjust for pinion depth, pinion preload, backlash, and carrier bearing preload. You will need at least a dial indicator. I’ve done a few rear ends and it is something that can be done at home, but be ready to get frustrated. And make sure that everything is perfect, and take your time. This link could help you out:
