Engine Stall on Return to Idle
Hello all,
Trying to solve a stall issue with my '01 1500 4x4 5.2L (97k miles). Starting today, the engine stalls on return to idle. It starts and run just fine. I can run it to 3-4k rpm and let it drop to idle with no issues. When the engine drops to idle during driving (when the clutch is disengaged), the engine will drop past normal idle and stall. It accelerates and drives fine. It does have an issue starting just after a stall. After a stall, the starter will turn the engine over, but it will start (as if there's no fuel to ignite).
I completed a tune-up (spark plugs, air filter, etc.) and cleaned the throttle body with no effect.
I'm thinking it's either the 1) IAC or 2) fuel pump. Any thoughts on where to proceed next?
Thanks...
