Default I need me a locker

Gonna do the gears next month and I want to get a locker. Any things I should look out for in particular? Recommendations?

How much do you wheel? Tight stuff? Rocks? If so, go with a selectable like the ARB. Thurning around corners is MUCH easier with the rear unlocked. If you're hitting regular trails and mud, then a Detroit Softlocker is the way to go.

Either way, I would stick with a full-case locker if you can afford it. The Lockright SUCKS in the rear of a rig.

Just a thought, but, If you would have worded your original post better, besides ( "a couple of questions"). To something like this new thread you started about the same subject. You would have gotten more reply's originally.(by people that are knowledgeable with the subject). As opposed to "a couple questions". Not to mention, that doing a simple search here on DF, would have given you more info than you could comprehend. As this subject has been beaten to death and there are hundreds, if not thousands of threads on this topic. I don't want to sound like a dick, but, every day it's the same old questions asked, over and over, with BAD thread titles, which helps no one.

LOL, you are right. Maybe I just need to calm down and stop wasting my time looking/reading crappy thread titles.

I disagree.

I'd recommend a Detroit. I prefer auto lockers over selectables. There is no selectable for you 9.25 anyways.
The True Trac isn't a locker.

If you like banging, scrubbing, possibilty of it shredding teeth, and all around poor on-road manners, a Lockright is fantastic. I've beat one for 6 years, but it's in the front of my rig on 35s. Now with the V8 I'm waiting for it to spit out the center pin.

And you're right, the GM/AAM 9.25 ARB RD51 looks to be for the front end. I believe this axle used a thicker gear set and are 33 splines.
