Transmission Trouble
Like the title says, i'm having problems shifting from 1-2 but once it does it'll shift fine after that. Just got done readjusting the TV cable and test drove it for a mile shifted better then it did even before it had started this for the first half, second half I couldn't get it to shift till I got the RPM's up to about 4500 half throttle, then when I slowed down it down shifted all weird (and no I don't know how to explain it.) No codes for the transmission, the only ones is for the downstream O2 and IAT sensor (which i just got done changing and it seemed to help the engine out but not the shifting.) If you need any more information just ask.
P.S. Fluid level good and no burnt smell to it, had new overdrive unit, 1st clutch and new solenoids and put in sonax sure cure with harder shifts in around August.
Thank you vr4oaks

Sounds like a Governor Pressure Switch and Governor Solenoid issue to me . Go to a good tranny shop for the sensors and replace them yourself or have them do it, and also have them adjust the bands, or do that yourself too, if you have the right tools and are sure of what you are doing. While the pan is off, install a drain plug too.

Sorry for the double post, clicked reply and not quote,
Had the same problem. You need to replace the Governer Pressure Sensor and the Solenoid (also called the transducer i believe), took me about 2 hours as a first timer, easy 1 hour fix for a veteran, $150 tops doing it yourself
